As for the moment, there is only one golf playground in the town of Ihtiman, nearby Sofia, owned by Air Sofia carrier.

The Golf Federation nurtures the ambition to make Bulgaria a golfing destination, while actively training young golfers and promoting Bulgaria's participation at international tournaments.

A standard golf playground takes some EUR 30,000 for monthly expenses.

Air Sofia is planning the construction a golf course in the northeast town of Razgrad, hunting also for suitable locations near the capital and along the seaside. Spain's El Plantio Alicante is partnering the air carrier for the Sofia-area project.
