Bulgarian supermarket chain Elemag to expand at home, abroad

In those destinations, the company will lease space for the Elemag supermarkets in existing malls.

In addition to its expansion efforts on the native market, Elemag plans to open outlets abroad in cities like Rome, Munich and Vienna where it is seeking to lease premises with area of around 1,800 sq m.

The new outlets in Bulgaria will have an average area of 1,000 sq m each and will be sited exclusively in upmarket residential districts.

Elemag plans to add a new outlet this year to the 2 supermarkets it already operates in Sofia. Another couple of supermarkets will be launched in capital over the next 2-3 years.
