Burgas Welcomes Millionth Passenger

The Birmingham-coming family will spend their two-week holiday in the Sunny Beach resort, south of Burgas.

The lucky family was surprised by the media interest they attracted and enjoyed the free voucher for a 2005-holiday in Bulgaria handed down to them by the Chief of Balkan Holidays Yanko Ivanov.

Both children will enjoy their stay in the Sunny Beach with a free one-day visit in the local Aqua Park attraction.

The Burgas Airport has been quicker this year than its northern rival in Varna to welcome its millionth passenger. Last year the lucky foreigner landed in Burgas on October 6, airport's officials reminded.

Just days earlier, the airport hit a new record in managing daily flights announcing that a total of 113 planes have received its services.

Traffic of British passengers at the Burgas airport has surged by 80% in June and 58% in July.
