Changes to alleviate investment procedures in Bulgaria
Рубрика: Property news Източник: The changes proposed increased IBA control over the administrative units to make make investment procedures easier and less time-consuming, Stalev said.Another aspect of the changes includes promotion of new work places and professional training programmes. At present investors were encouraged to hire workers from the job centres but that was insufficient and IBA would search for ways to promote new work places in regions with high unemployment levels, Stalev said.
According to IBA predictions, Bulgaria would still attract large amounts of investment even after the country's EU accession. After the country joined the union, it should focus on attracting investment with high-level qualification of the workers, Stalev said.
IBA is working on attracting Bulgarian students abroad back to Bulgaria by providing more work places. The number of Bulgarian students studying in EU universities exceeded 30 000, Stalev said.
The main problem investors faced was the lack of a clear government strategy on which sectors would become national priorities, Capital said. According to Stalev, Bulgaria should work on developing spa tourism and high technologies.
