Penguin Travel runs a weekly charter flight between Copenhagen and Plovdiv. The Danish tour operator offers include birdwatching in Bulgaria , a trek through the Bulgarian Pirin-Rodopi mountains, horseriding in the mountains and its winter offer for ski holidays in Bulgaria's Pamporovo, Bansko and Borovets.

The company, which brought 4,000 Danish vacationers to Bulgaria in 2004, said 30% of the summer bed inventory has already been booked. Bulgaria is featured on the 2005 catalogues of 15 Danish tour operators.
