Due to the increased investment interest in Pamporovo real estates prices have gone up to 130-140 euros per square meter.

Last week Turkey's Sabah daily singled out the Rhodopes-located resort in line with fanciful places in Spain, France, Italy and Sweden, where various alternatives for tourism, sports and recreation are being offered.

Bulgarian winter resorts are scoring points, as foreigners grow more familiar with the country. The government has been working out and implementing strategies to bring the ski facilities up to a standard that would enable Bulgaria to host the 2014 Winter Olympics.
