Realtors: office, industrial properties appreciate, price of homes flattish

Residential property prices are holding steady, said Moneva.

The REMI index, which tracks property trends on the residential, business and agricultural markets, was launched in September 2002 from a base of 100.

A market overview prepared by the Address Real Estate agency reveals a 23% quarter-on-quarter jump in registered property transactions in April-June.

An Address survey shows that 72% of the company's clients sell on their properties to invest in new residential developments, up from 64% in late 2004. The portion of clients getting out of their property for fear of a value erosion has increased to 16% at present from zero percent in December 2004.

NREA's REMI Rents index, which debuted on April 1 from a base of 100, rose 2.1 points in the past 3 months to 118.8.
