The schedule for the execution of the priority infrastructure projects until 2015

Рубрика: General news Източник:      This year the construction of the parts Karnobat- Bourgas and Orizovo- Stara Zagora is planned to be completed. By the end of December the rehabilitation of Daskalovo- Dupnitsa (40 kilometres), the construction of the road Podkova- Makaza (18 kilometres). In 2007 the rehabilitation of Razlog- Simitly (36 km) road and Razlog- Bansko- Gotse Delchev- Sadovo (58 km) are planned to be completed . By the end of the next year will complete the construction of the road connection from “Brussels” boulevard to the new terminal of Sofia Airport. The ring road from Rudozem to the Greek Border will be also completed in the same period.

Until 2008, 352 kilometres of roads will be ready, which are now being modernized by the “Beautiful Bulgaria Transit Roads IV project” . In 2009 19, 125 kilometres from “Lulin” highway should be ready.

A total number of 887,725 million Euro will be invested for the period 2007- 2009 in modernization of road infrastructure. 593.455 million Euro of them will be from the Cohesion fund of EU and 294.270 million Euro will be taken from the budget of the government. These funds will be used for the reconstruction of the following roads- Kardjali- Podkova; Vidin- Montana, and Dimovo- Bela- Rujentsi site; the connection Yablanitsa- road net Koritna to “Hemus” autobahn and etc.

The program of the ministry of transport makes plans for the modernization of the airport and port infrastructure with a public and private partnership. In 2006 will be opened the procedures for the concessions of Rousse airport, the ports in Vidin, Rousse and Tutrakan; the central rail station in Sofia and Plovdiv, the ferryboat complex in Vidin, the passenger's terminal in Silistra and etc.

In 2007 the procedures for Gorna Oryahovitsa and Targovishte airports, the ports Rosenets- Bourgas; Central Heating System Ezerovo- Varna; Petrol- Varna; ferryboat complex- Varna; Lom. The concessionary procedure for Plovdiv airport; port terminal in Varna will be launched by the end of this year.

The railways will also receive additional funds for reconstruction of the existing infrastructure.

The coordination council for control and execution of the infrastructure projects of national significance will also review the operation plan for the execution of infrastructure projects from “Environment sector” for the period 2005- 2015.
