Tourists Favor Bulgaria as Winter Holidays Place

The winter season, including December and January, is running very well so far, marking a rise of 26.15 % in tourists who have come to Bulgaria to spend their holidays.

Greece tops the list of Bulgarian-tourism interested countries with over 50,000 visitors, followed by Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Israel, the United Stated and Italy.

Bulgaria is one of Europe's fastest developing destinations, a report of the tourism commission with the European Union has shown recently. The survey revealed that Bulgaria achieved that great success at a time when the world tourism faces hard times as in 2003 it marked a decline of -1.2%.
