Wild Beaches Near Varna are the Summer's Hit

The wild beaches with no lifeguards, stretching to the south of the coastal city of Varna are the hit of the summer. The holidaymakers seek an escape from money-hungry beach concessionaires, who always politely ask them to pay for sunshades, chaise-lounges and other extras.

The cottage complexes Veteran, Fichossa, Chernomorets and Pasha Dere are among the tourists' favorite places. Some of the beaches there are not guarded, but most of the tourists totally disregard the "No Swimming" signs. The long lines of sunshades stuck in the sand clearly suggest that these wild beaches are a kind of summer paradise for the holidaymakers. What attracts them is the crystal-clear seawater, the sandy shore and the adjacent beech forest.
A roomnight in the cottages costs four to eight levs (2-4 euro) and this is yet another reason for the tourists to prefer spending their holiday here. Although there are no medical centers and lifeguards on these beaches, many tourists come here to feel the real spirit of the seaside.
One can also taste the freshest fish and seafood here, experts say.
