The prime minister gave assignment to the resore ministers to analyse the projects, which are about to be realized in the country during the next years and to prepare a schedule with clear financial part for the best managerial decisions on the subject. The national alliance of the municipals is taking part in the council for coordination, control and execution of the infrastructure projects with national significance.
The council approved the reports of the ministers of transport and the environment and water with the offered operation plans and schedules for execution of the projects.
Until May 31 each one of them should have a dossier, and each three months the restore minister will make reports on the phase of its execution. The minister of finance has to offer mechanisms for the supply of the needed funds for the preparation of the investment projects, that have to start in 2007-2008.
The main sources of financing will be the cohesion fund, the government budget, credits from international finance institutions and public- private partnerships. The program, presented by the ministry of transport before the members of the council, plans “Trakia”, “Maritsa” and “Cherno More” highways to be given to concessionaires. The start of “Maritsa” autobahn is planned for the beginning of 2007 and it will be 114 kilometres long. It is expected to be finished in 2009 and it will be let in use after four years in 2012. In the period 2014- 2017 “Cherno More” highway will be constructed and its total length is planned to be 95 kilometres. -
BA Extends London Flights to Sofia, Varna
Category: General newsBritish Airways announced five more early-hours flights from Varna and Sofia London's Gatwick to manage the traditionally heavy summer schedule.
The British aviation operator has opened just recently, in March, the Varna destination performing two evening flights weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
As of June 5 BA's clients will be able to book also early Mondays and Tuesdays (flights taking off at 05:00 a.m. local time).
The two-way ticket costs EUR 160, without airport fees.

New Low-Cost Flier to Land in Bulgaria
Category: General newsThe biggest budget carrier in Europe, the Irish Ryanair plans to open several new bases and will consider destinations in Eastern Europe.
The company is negotiating with airports in Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, and Switzerland about opening up new routes, Irish Examiner reported.
The carrier announced that for the six months to end September its profit climbed by 39% to EUR 329 M.
Around EUR 213 M of the interim profit figure was generated in the three months to September 30. Ryanair also said the company's turnover increased by 33% to EUR 1.25 B. -
Open skating rink in Bulgaria's capital this year
Category: General newsA new skating rink will start functioning behind the National Palace of Culture in Sofia this winter. The rink's area is 600sq m and it will open on November 25, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
The new winter facility will be called Ice Park. It will open at 10am and continue working until 10pm each day. An hour and a half of skating will cost three leva.
Nearly 200 people will be able to skate at the same time. Skates will be offered for rent and a personal instructor will also be available. An entertainment zone will function alongside the skating rink. The zone will feature a stage and a restaurant. Organisers said these facilities will enable the staging of DJ parties and concerts.

Foreigners will be able to buy land in Bulgaria
Category: General newsThe Government approved on Thursday 2nd November 2006 draft amendments to the Ownership Act in connection with the changes in Article 22 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Government's Information Service announced on Thursday.Under the draft amendments foreigners and foreign legal entities will be allowed to purchase land at the conditions, stemming from Bulgaria's accession into EU, from compliance with an international agreement, ratified, promulgated and having taken effect, or through inheritance. This provision is complied with the free movement of capital norms of the Treaty Establishing the European Community.

Bulgaria sea resorts boost 9-mo earnings

Nearly 200 Million Euro to be Invested in Golf Course
Category: General newsA golf course will be built at the total cost of 195 million euro near the resort town of Pomorie, Bulgarian southern Black Sea coast. Today Kabland OOD will receive the first class investor certificate for its project Black Sea Golf & Country Club. This is the largest scale investment project in Bulgaria, the golf course is planned to lie on 191.8 ha in the vicinities of Kableshkovo town, near Pomorie. The complex will create jobs for 800 up to 1000 people.

CEZ to invest 2.2 million leva in Bansko electricity network
Category: General newsCzech company CEZ would invest 2.2 million leva in the electricity network of Bansko winter resort in 2007, Darik Radio reported.
The investment would be used for the development and the modernisation of the network. After modernisation, electricity provision would be improved and more clients could be serviced.
The reconstruction of Bansko's electricity provision equipment would cost 1.3 million leva, Darik said. Another 206 000 leva would be utilised for electric wiring.
Part of the investment would be used for changing the electricity-meters in the region, Darik said.
CEZ investment was part of a programme for development of the electricity provision in Bansko region.

Italian Consortium to Distribute Gas in Western Bulgaria
Category: General newsTwo Italian companies are going to supply gas western Bulgaria, comprising the larger part of Vrac, Bansko, Goce Delcev etc as this was recently decided by the State commission for energy and water management (DKEVR), energyobserver.com reports.
The joint association of the “Acegaz” and “Konstrukcioni Dondi” companies was declared the winner in the competition for gas distribution in the “Zapad” region.
In the second place were Italian company “AMGA- Acienda Multiserizi” followed by Austrian firm EVN and Bulgarian “Overgaz Inc”.
